Hunza Valley Blossom Tour Itinerary

The onset of cherry blossom signifies the departure of the cold winter weather in picturesque locations such as Hunza Valley, Phandar Valley, Skardu Valley, and various other parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, ushering in the arrival of spring. The cherry blossom season typically commences in mid-March and paints the landscapes with vibrant colors until the final week of April. This splendid tradition of cherry blossom viewing dates back to ancient times when nobility would compose poetry and revel in song beneath the blooming cherry trees.

  • Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad, Pakistan
  • Day 2: Drive from Islamabad to Hunza (approximately 10-12 hours drive). Enjoy the scenic views of the Karakoram Highway (KKH), with stops at the famous Attabad Lake and the breathtaking Nagar Valley along the way. Overnight at a hotel in Hunza
  • Day 3: Arrival in Hunza Valley. Rest and relax. In the afternoon, take a short walk through the beautiful town of Karimabad, with views of the Rakaposhi and Ultar Sar peaks. Visit Baltit Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and More the old town of Karimabad. Enjoy a traditional Hunza meal in the evening
  • Day 4: Hunza Blossom Tour: Visit the apricot orchards in full bloom and the nearby village of Altit. More the Altit Fort and surrounding orchards. Continue to Duikar Valley, which offers panoramic views of the valley and surrounding snow-capped peaks, and is known for its vibrant wildflowers and apricot trees in bloom
  • Day 5: More the beautiful Ghulkin village in Nagar Valley. Ghulkin is famous for its blooming almond and apricot trees in spring. Enjoy a peaceful hike in the village, and visit the stunning Husseini Suspension Bridge, one of the highest suspension bridges in the world. Continue to the Passu Cones, the iconic peaks of Hunza, and spend time marveling at their beauty. Return to Hunza for the night
  • Day 6: Full day excursion to **Khunjerab Pass (4,714m)**, the highest point on the Karakoram Highway, and the border between Pakistan and China. Experience magnificent views of the Karakoram mountains, including Rakaposhi, Diran, and the surrounding peaks. Enjoy a visit to the **Pak-China border** and stop at the **Karakoram National Park** for wildlife spotting. On the return journey, stop at **Attabad Lake** for a boat ride.   • Day 7: Visit **Gulmit** and **Husseini Village**, and hike the **Husseini Suspension Bridge** for the ultimate thrill.   • Day 8: More **Khunjerab National Park** (if not fully Mored earlier), and take a short trek in **Shimshal Valley**, a remote area that’s famous for its lush meadows, high mountain passes, and traditional culture. The valley is ideal for spotting local flora, fauna, and wildlife like ibex and blue sheep. Return to Hunza in the evening
  • Day 9: Take a cultural day trip to **Haramosh Valley**, a less-visited but stunning valley in the northern region of Hunza, known for its apricot blossoms and lush landscape. Visit the ancient **Haramosh Fort** and More the traditional villages. If time allows, take a short walk to **Attabad Lake**, a deep blue lake created after a massive landslide in 2010. Return to Hunza in the evening for a farewell dinner
