Chilinji Pass Trek Itinerary

The Chilinji trek, situated at an impressive altitude of 5140 meters, serves as a vital link connecting the Chapursan valley in Upper Gojal with the Iskoman valley in Ghizer. The story of the Chilinji pass begins in 2009 when we first learned about this challenging mountain pass. We initially considered crossing it while traveling from the Ishkoman valley to Broghil and Karomber Lake.

  • Day 1: Arrive at Islamabad airport and transfer to hotel. Hotel
  • Day 2: Drive to Swat (5-6 hrs, 180 km). Hotel
  • Day 3: Trek to Swat (180 km, 4-5 hrs). Hotel
  • Day 4: Drive to Chitral (254 km, 7-8 hrs). Hotel
  • Day 5: Drive to Kalash valleys to visit Bumburate, Birir, and Rumbur. Camp
  • Day 6: Drive to Lasht (altitude 3048 m). Overnight in tents. Camp
  • Day 7: Trek to Kishmanja (altitude 3300 m). Overnight in tents. Camp
  • Day 8: Trek to Ishkarwarz on the Brogil Pass (3600 m). Overnight in tents. Camp
  • Day 9: Trek to Laly Ribat (altitude 3990 m). Overnight in tents. Camp
  • Day 10: Trek to Kurambar Lake (4300 m). Overnight in tents. Camp
  • Day 11: Free day at Kurambar Lake. Overnight in tents. Camp
  • Day 12: Trek to Shuinji summer pasture (3930 m). Overnight in tents. Camp
  • Day 13: Trek to Sukhtarabad (altitude 3420 m). Camp
  • Day 14: Trek to Chillinji Jungle (3450 m). Camp
  • Day 15: Trek to Chillinji high camp. Camp
  • Day 16: Trek from high camp to Beyator. Camp
  • Day 17: Trek to dow Baba Ghundi Chupursen village. Camp
  • Day 18: Drive to Karimabad to Attabad Lake. Hotel
  • Day 19: Visit Baltit Fort (700 years old), Altit Fort (900 years old), and Duiker Valley. Hotel
  • Day 20: Drive to Naran via Babusar Pass (4173 m). Hotel
  • Day 21: Drive to Islamabad (6-7 hrs) en route visit Taxila museum and historical sites. Hotel
  • Day 22: Transfer to Islamabad airport for international flight. Fly Out
  • All airports pick & drops on arrival and departures.

  • Documentation:
    • Visa facilitation letter.
    • Professional guide to transfer expedition to base camp.
    • Necessary base camp staff (base camp manager, chief, cook, and assistance & walkers).
    • Way up and down 25kg is allowed in our service.
    • While ascending any pass over 5000M, 15kg is allowed in our service.
  • Three meals a day and tea - coffee - snacks during the trek and base camp stays.
  • Solar panel / generator for light and battery charge at base camp.
  • North face tent provided as individual member at base camp.
  • Hot shower and comfortable chairs and tables while trekking and at base camp stays.

    • Staff tips. We recommend you to give a small bonus for our local staff.
    • Mini bars while staying in hotels/travelling.

  • Custom Clearing Charges (Import and Export of Equipment).
  • Oxygen, Mask & Regulator Sets.
  • EPI Gas, Ropes, Ice Screws, Snow Bar, Cooking Pots Beyond Base Camp.
  • RECOMMENDATION: We recommend our clients to deposit helicopter rescue aviation deposit in advance $5000/-. The entire money is refundable if not used. In case any emergency happens on a remote mountain range, we fly a helicopter on time to save life.
  • TRAVEL INSURANCE: It is strongly recommended that while booking treks and tours with us, travelers/trekkers must be protected by insurance themselves that covers cancellation, accidents, health, emergency evacuation, and loss of items, or damage to baggage and personal effects.
