Trichi Mir Bace Camp Itinerary
Tirich Valley, an extensive western offshoot of the Turikho Valley, leads toward the foot of some of the loftiest peaks in the Hindu Kush range, including Noshaq, Istor-o-Nal, and Tirich Mir. The well-frequented trek to Tirich Mir Base Camp involves crossing the Lower Tirich Glacier, so prior experience with glacier travel can be advantageous. The base camp is locally known as Babu Camp, a name honoring Babu Mohammad, a seasoned guide who, when not leading treks, can often be found at Chitral's Mountain Inn.
- Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad. Rest day. Hotel
- Day 2: Fly or drive to Chitral. Hotel
- Day 3: Drive to Zani Pass (3480m) for great views of the peaks of Hindukush and Hindu Raj. Start of trek and descend down to Shagrom (2900m), the last human settlement of the region, for a night stay at Terichmir Guest House. From the pass to Shagrom: 2-3 hours walk. Hotel
- Day 4: Trek to Sheniak (3540m) through willow trees and summer pasture, along the Terich River. Walking time: 5-6 hours. Camp
- Day 5: Continue trek onto the lower Tirich glacier and then moraine to Shughur Baisun (4038m). 5-6 hours trek. Camp
- Day 6: Trek beside the upper Tirich glacier to Tirich Mir, Noshaq, and Istor o Nal Base Camp (4700m). 6-7 hours trek. Best views of Terich Concordia and surrounding peaks. Camp
- Day 7: Rest days for photography of surrounding mountains and exploration of the area. Camp
- Day 8: Trek back to Shughur Baisun. 4-5 hours trek. Camp
- Day 9: Trek to Sheniak, through the jungle of birch and willow trees. 4-5 hours trek. Camp
- Day 10: Trek to Shagrom. 4-5 hours trek. Hotel
- Day 11: Drive back to Chitral. 5 hours drive. Hotel
- Day 12: Visit Alexander’s lost tribe, the Kalash of Hindukush. 2 hours’ drive. Return back to Chitral in the afternoon. Hotel
- Day 13: Fly to Islamabad or drive, subject to weather. Hotel
- Day 14: Transfer to airport for home destination. Fly Out
- Trichi Mir Base Camp Included Services:
- Transportation from Islamabad to Chilas and onward to Trichi Mir Base Camp.
- 4x4 jeep transportation between Chilas, Halalay Bridge, and Trichi Mir Base Camp.
- Two nights at Trichi Mir Base Camp in tents with full board (three meals a day).
- Specialized trekking guide for the Trichi Mir Base Camp trek.
- Comfortable camping facilities at Trichi Mir Base Camp, including North Face tents and mattresses.

- RECOMMENDATION: We recommend our clients to deposit helicopter rescue aviation deposit in advance $5000/- the entire money is refundable if not used. In case any emergency happens on a remote mountain range, we fly a helicopter on time to save lives.
- TRAVEL INSURANCE: It is strongly recommended that while booking treks and tours with us, travelers/trekkers must be protected by insurance themselves that covers cancellation, accidents, health, emergency evacuation, and loss of items, or damage to baggage and personal effects.
