Mountaineering Permits All mountaineering expeditions in Pakistan require permits. This is essential for climbing activities, whether on Rakaposhi (7788m), Nanga Parbat (8125m), or in the Karakoram Range. The Government of Pakistan issues these permits, and climbers must submit detailed expedition plans along with the required peak royalty fees.
Peak Royalty Fees Expeditions to high-altitude peaks are subject to royalty fees, varying based on peak elevation and the number of climbers. The Government of Pakistan charges peak royalty fees based on the mountain's height and location. These fees contribute to conservation and local community development. Some examples include:
Discounted Rates
Discounts are available for mountaineering teams attempting multiple peaks in the same expedition or during the winter season (December-February). If travelers are climbing in groups of more than seven, additional members can pay a lower fee.
