Shandur polo festival, located in the enchanting region of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, is a destination renowned for its breathtaking spring blossoms. Every year in March and April, tourists from all corners of the globe flock to Skardu to witness the vibrant colors of spring. - Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad, Pakistan
- Day 2: Drive from Islamabad to Chitral (10-12 hours). Enjoy scenic views of the **Karakoram Highway (KKH)** and **Kaghan Valley** along the way. Check-in at your hotel in Chitral.
- Day 3: Full day sightseeing in Chitral: Visit **Chitral Fort**, **Kalash Valley** (home to the Kalash people), and More local markets. Stay overnight in Chitral.
- Day 4: Drive from Chitral to **Shandur Pass** (about 3-4 hours). Set up camp or check-in at nearby guesthouses. Enjoy the majestic views of the mountains and the polo ground. Spend the afternoon exploring the **Shandur Pass** and acclimatizing to the altitude.
- Day 5: The first day of **Shandur Polo Festival**: Watch thrilling polo matches between teams from **Chitral** and **Gilgit-Baltistan**. Enjoy the local music, traditional dances, and food stalls. The polo matches are often the highlight of the day, but there's also cultural entertainment and performances.
- Day 6: Full day at **Shandur Polo Festival**: Attend more exciting polo matches. In the evening, enjoy **folk music**, **dance performances**, and a traditional bonfire with local festivities. You may also interact with locals and visit nearby **Shandur Lake** for some rest and photo opportunities.
- Day 7: Drive back from **Shandur Pass** to **Chitral**. Continue your drive back to **Islamabad**, or if time allows, More more of the region’s scenic beauty before returning to Islamabad for your departure.
