Kondus Valley Expedition Itinerary
Kondus Valley, located in the remote and isolated area of the Karakoram Range near the Line of Control between Pakistan and India, is a hidden gem for trekkers and adventurers. This valley is known for its stunning landscapes, untouched wilderness, and the sense of adventure that comes with exploring an area that few have visited. The Kondus Valley offers a unique blend of towering peaks, glaciers, and lush meadows, making it an ideal destination for those seeking solitude and a true wilderness experience
- Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad (briefing and permit process). Hotel
- Day 2: Fly to Skardu (subject to weather) or drive to Chilas. Hotel
- Day 3: Drive from Chilas to Skardu. Hotel
- Day 4: Free day in Skardu for preparation and logistics. Hotel
- Day 5: Drive to Khaplu by Jeep. Camping
- Day 6: Drive to Kondus Village by Jeep. Camping
- Day 7: Trek from Kondus Village to Kharfaq Lake. Camping
- Day 8: Trek to Shyok Glacier and More the surrounding area. Camping
- Day 9: Trek deeper into Kondus Valley, crossing meadows and glaciers. Camping
- Day 10: Trek to Kondus Pass Base Camp. Camping
- Days 11-12: More the Kondus Pass area with optional day hikes to nearby peaks. Camping
- Day 13: Return trek to Kondus Village. Camping
- Day 14: Drive back to Khaplu. Hotel
- Day 15: Drive to Skardu. Hotel
- Day 16: Free day in Skardu. Hotel
- Day 17: Fly to Islamabad (or drive to Chilas). Hotel
- Day 18: Drive from Chilas to Islamabad (if applicable). Hotel
- Day 19: Debriefing in Islamabad and onward departure. Fly Out
- Transportation:
- Airport transfers (Islamabad and Skardu)
- Air-conditioned minibuses for Ministry of Tourism briefings and sightseeing

- 4x4 jeeps for members and Toyota Loader for equipment (Skardu to Jhola and Hushe to Skardu)

- 2 nights at Grand Hotel Islamabad (or similar) on bed and breakfast basis
- 2 nights at Shangri-La Midway or Panorama Inn, Skardu (full board)
- 3 nights at Blue Sky Hotel, Masherbrum Inn, Dewan-e-Khans, or K-2 Motel, Skardu (full board)

- Cancellation Policy:
- 50% advance payment required 50 days prior to arrival
- Full refund if cancelled 15 days prior to departure
- 25% cancellation charge if cancelled less than 15 days prior to arrival
- No refund if cancelled after arrival or during the trip
- Additional Costs:
- Road blocks or unforeseen events may incur extra costs
- Clients splitting from the group will incur additional charges
- Extra hotel nights will be charged to group members

- Reservations and Payment:
- 50% advance payment required 50 days prior to arrival
- Balance payment due upon arrival in Pakistan

- Purchasing personal travel and health insurance
- Obtaining membership with a reputable emergency response organization
- We suggest Global Rescue Service, which provides helicopter evacuation, medical assistance, and travel support
- Having this membership will ensure prompt assistance in case of emergencies
